The mixture of solid oak beams,open hearth and liscannor stone contribute to the old but cosy atmosphere of this bar. Enjoy supping a Guinness whilst listening to trad music nightly during the summer months.

Going down one level, this fascinating bar features the oldest pillars in the premises - made from Kilkenny Marble and dating back to 1324. This area is divided into three sections and was once the cellar and kitchen of the house.

Leading from the Tavern bar this suntrap courtyard is the place to be with a full service of food and drink. There is a retractable canopy with heat fittings for those who wish to smoke.

The Courtyard also features the original fresh water wells that provided St Francis Brewery with the water to make the original Smithwicks Beer.
